Got the GN engine apart.bearings are trashed and crank is ugly.Question for you engine guys.what's the max the crank can be turned?this one was turned 10 on the rod and 20 on the mains the last time it was apart.Are new cranks available?If so who sells them? Thanks in advance.

Is it a stock crank? I would replaced it with a eagle or cat crank crank if you are rebuilding. If it already is a forged crank, mine is 20/20 and seems to be holding up well.

Stock crank. Don't own boat so i was thinking another door stop.Broken part pile is starting to get in the way.

there are alot of places selling cranks now,just a little pricy.a forged cat,scat,dls crank will start at about $750 and up.

I have run a stock crank 20-20 & no issues? Car runs 26-28 lbs boost & low 11 high 10's but no detonation. That can kill any crank.

I also know of some running 30-30 cranks. Then the ones who run an NA crank to the 10's like Banning did.

20/20 is one thing. But it is already 20 with scoring.
