anyone here got any pics of the cruise control setup on an 84 or 85 TR?
and how about a complete parts list of what's needed to install it and possible easy to find junkyard donor cars.

not entirely sure about every part needed, but just to get you started i know the cruise diaphram assembly and bracket its mounted in is same as 86/87, not sure what other cars are same. i know the cable itself is differant than the 86/87, and most likely its unique to hot airs only. the controller than mounts under the dash is the same on all 84/87 trs, those rarely fail (i think), so shouldn't be too hard to come by. the turn signal stalk controller is obviously easy to come by. hopefully your wiring harness under the dash and engine and instrument cluster (for the cruise lamp) has all the proper connectors just hanging there, otherwise your in for a bit of wiring and splicing. not sure what else is needed. the only thing i see might be tough to find is the proper cable. i might have an extra, not sure

im wondering this info as well. i cant remember the last time my cruise worked. i think i need the vaccum ball for mine to work? where do both the fittings go to on the diaphram (vaccum? ball?) my light doesnt come on the dash when i do anything. i really need to check into this.

thanks for the info..
i was thinking of trying to find a regular regal to get the parts- my logic is that the cruise control setup is probably the same across all the engines in the Regal in any given year, but with a different cable to the throttle body.
time for some junkyard crawling- it is the one option that i really wish would have been ordered on my car. it's just too easy to exceed the speed limit if you don't watch the speedo all the time.

not 100% sure, but i don't think the na 3.8 cruises are the same. i think the diaphram sits right behind the throttle body bracket. i'd take some pics of mine for you but i'm stuck at work all day :frown:

TB3, whenever u get the time, take the those pics, theres probably more than a few ppl that would like to see pics of a working set up. I bought mine and it has all the guts just wanna see one hooked up, then I can finish hookin mine up.
