Cruise inop

Hey guys,
Is there an easy way to figure out why my cruise is not working? I thought it was the turn signal/cruise switch because the wires appeared to be frayed but I just replaced it with a new oem switch and it did not fix it. Is the any flow charts out there on how to test the cruise system? Any ideas would be helpful!!

Cruise Control

Go here: Vortex Turbo Buick Performance

Select Troubleshooting on the left side menu and then click on Cruise Control.

yes I replaced the switch as well.

Make sure the vacume line on top of the DS valve cover is plugged in - that was my issue.

How do you test this switch?

Quick easy way is to pull up on brake pedal and then try to activate the cruise control. If it works then most likely the switch is out of adjustment.

Figured out our issue today, it is the brake pedal/switch out of adjustment. Not sure how to adjust for this. Not sure what to adjust when looking up behind the pedal. The info on the link in this thread is not helping me see what and where to adjust so the plugs work correctly when the pedal is pushed down. This is clearly our issue, we eliminated all the other items and it worked when I pulled the pedal up with my foot confirming the diagnosis. Thanks for your time.
