Just curious if the 442s ( 80s G- Body) buckets are the same as ours. Or is the headrest and bucket one? If anyone has pics I would appreciate it. Thanks.

They're different, like you thought... the headrest and seat back are 1 piece on the Cutlass seats.

I think that reclining Cutlass buckets are rare too, I haven't seen too many. Where as most(if not all) the Buick seats are reclining.

The Cutlass buckets are reclining too. They are about as rare as buckets in a Regal. BTW the integrated headrest buckets are used in other cars too. The 79-85 Riviera and the 78-81 Monte/Malibu/ElCamino are the more common ones. The Chevys didn't use the big chrome plastic recliner/hinge covers.

look at the 82 thru 1990 camaro's they have the same seats for the front only there are about 3 different styles used and only one is just like ours. good luck

They're still different. Usable (I have a pair), but there are differences.

They take some work to fit, as they're narrower. And the Camaro seat tracks won't work.

On the plus side... is that they ARE 1in skinnier, so a roll bar will fit that much nicer...;) ;)

But they "Sit" different too... I think the But sits lower than OEM buckets. And I'm tall so I can't get the head rest up high enough either.

If you go with Camaro buckets, let me know and I can tell you how to install them, maybe save you some time.
