Cutting Hood Brace for TB Clearence

My TB is mighty close to the underhood brace that travels under the hood buldge, has anyone cut this brace out? Will the hood integrity be ok or will it bend without the brace (trying to avoid a fiberglass hood if possible.

I had one of the Hartline glass hoods before and had to cut it also, so going to a glass hood probably wouldn't help. I traded that glass hood to @tbone87 for his stock hood and he cut the brace out before he repainted the hood for me. I cant' say if there were any complications with cutting it out. But, now that it's on the car it opens, closes like normal and doesn't bounce, shake or do anything abnormal from what the little I've driven it.

I just cut it smooth. Really see no problems with it. This is the fiberglass hood but pretty sure I cut Mike's the same way.
