cylinder head ?

Are the cylinder heads on the 85 turbo the same as any 1985 buick 3.8? And are the 86, 87 cylinder heads the same as the 85? What other 3.8 heads share the same castings?!

My reasoning for asking is that if it is possible, i would like to go to the local junkyard and try to find a set of heads i can port and polish. And if the 86/87 heads are better than the 85, then can i not get a set of those and put on my 85?
However if the heads are specific to turbos then i'll save myself the time. I am sure someone knows the answer to this, so if they woud be so kind to share their knowledge, i would be very appreciative.

As long as the casting # says 8445 on the top of the head under the rockers you're fine. There was no difference in the turbo heads with the exception the exhaust side wasn't machined to accept seals. I know for sure the 8445s were on all 84 and up cars and I think they were around before that.

I have a good set of heads that only have like 6,000 miles on them. Complete w/ valve and valve springs. I bought a set of port and polished. These are stock. Make me an offer.
