I have had a ta49 on the car since '92 along with a 3in. dp, good exhaust and CIA. I have run 12.40's at 113 mph in the 1/4 back in the day.
I'm installing comp 980's, going back to an in tank pump, 60lb injectors, TT chip, scanmaster, precision plenum w/PP and have a 2800 restalled d5 to be installed.
I would like to add a stretched SLIC and maybe a TA58 dbb turbo at some point as well (when the TA49 wears out).
It's mainly a street car with pro touring and autocross tendencies and won't see much track time, people make fun of me because I launch flat and have such a high ET & fast MPH. Lol
I have been reading posts about driving over the converter and wondered at what level this is happening.
I was wondering if it was worthwhile to put the restalled d5 in or just get a PTC 2800 stall.
It looks like I will be ok for a while yet.
