Driving home tonight my dash and radio lights went out, but the rest of my interior lights still work. Are these lights on their own fuse? Has anyone had this problem??? I didnt have time to check the fuses yet, but when I do what size should I be looking for?
Thanks for any advice...

There's a 5 amp fuse at the top of the fuse block labeled INST LPS. That's probably the one that went. Question is...why?

Many have had that problem. :(

Check the lamp and socket for the console shift light if you have one. It sometimes rips off the socket and the wire shorts on all the shifter metal down there and pops the fuse.

Thanks SalvageV6!!!!!! i had the console apart last week and noticed both wires were very weak at the socket.(installed Mark H's Electric exhaust cutout. Very nice piece). I took out the console today and both wires had broken off... So I taped the wires up, replaced the 5 amp fuse and everything works again.
Now the question is where can i buy a new socket with leads so I can splice them?

Just wondering with the fuse blown, how did the dash and radio lights work when my head lights and parking lights were NOT on? I only had the problem when the parking and head lights went on??? very odd...with the fuse blown the lights should not work at all... right???
Anyway everthing is working now and this is one less problem I have to think about.
Thanks again....

I got a similar problem when i turn on the headlights are parking lights on dash lights and stuff go black. But if i turn on my twilight sentinel they work fine? Would it be the same fuse.

1 Grand sounds like something else is feeding the lamps voltage with the Light switch in the off position.

Pin A of the Dimmer rotating knob wiring (brown wire) should not have voltage on it when the light switch is off. One place to look for improper voltage. The dimmer knob feeds the 5 ampere fuse after the headlight switch.

Also you need to know if it's the illumination lamps which are white that are working or else the display of say the digital dash and radio numbers which are blue.

Need more info. as to what is and isn't working with the light switch off and on.

Illumination lamps are the white background things.

Other inputs to the radio and digital dash displays cause these things to dim when the lights are on.

Very comlicated without exact information. :)
