Dash Board Lights went out

lamp in shifter illuminate? Makes sure bulb is OK.


If so.. then light switch is working. You can dim the light by using the wheel.

Now if the speedo and instruments lights dont work.. then your panel or panel plug behind it has issues.

Finish by checking fuses with the ignition in the "ON" position and see what fuses dont have power. Fuses that show power on one leg should show power on the other leg. If not..bad fuse.

Good news, I guess.
All fuses are working.

I guess my Instrument Cluster is the problem.
I will take it out and see if it's getting any power the way John at Caspers told me to.

If there is power at the Cluster, then it's the Cluster. If there is no power at the Cluster, I'm back to square one again.

Power to fuse

If you have power to the fuse with the switch on then you need to check your inst cluster connector for power, if there is power then you have a cluster problem. I think you need to seek the help of a experienced electrical tech to trouble shoot your problem I would suggest taking your car to a buick specialist in your area.

Don't forget to check the 20A gauge fuse as well as the ground connection to the dash.
