I will be dead before Peterson ever makes it to the death chamber. Glad they convicted him and handed the death sentence down but he is about 640 in line in California's death row. Lots of folks before him that need to be taken care of first.

Prison justice is probably what will eventually be handed out to him. Can you say Jeffrey Dahmer?

We have a guy here in CT who has been in jail for about 20 years for killing 8 young girls. He is slated for execution in February and our governor has said she won't stand in the way. Problem is the protest groups will probably find a way to stall it. The guy who is supposed to be executed even says he wants to go thru with it.

Got to hand it to the jury, they had a tough job to do but didn't wuss out. The guy was guilty as sin, even though there wasn't any physical evidence he did it. C'mon, who goes fishing on Christmas Eve especially when you have a wife who is 8 months pregnant?

Death row at San Quentin having killed a pregnant woman is about THE last situation I would ever want to be in.....he'll experience a little bit of hell before he gets to hell.

Yeah, he'll have a long time to have fun with his fellow inmates in prison. If I'm not mistaken he's basicly required to have an appeal before they can K-line him. When John Wayne Gacey was K-lined it took near 15 years, and they had tons of evidence in the case. Talk about a frickin creep.

I just got finished watching the press conference on FoxNews (LOVE FOXNEWS!).

I'm glad justice has been served and that the system has worked.

I give everyone a basic respect until you've lost it. But these three jurors who spoke at the press conference EARNED my respect. I listened to what they had to say and what they have gone thru and I have a lot of respect for them. They accepted their duty as jurors. They followed the letter of the law and endured a very difficult process and decision. I could never imagine deliberating on the life or death of someone in a courtroom.

I know, if asked, I would do my duty as an American citizen. But I can really sympathize with these jurors and what they have gone thru.

We may not have a perfect system, but dammit.. it works!

I'm not saying OJ was innocent. But that was purely a case of prosecution dropping the ball. From what I heard of this case, prosecution put forth a very solid case. Even with circumstantial evidence, they left room for little doubt. Plus the judge gave the jury a 'lingering doubt' mandate. Which gave the jurors a little bit of wiggle room.

I'm just glad to see that no matter how much of a hot-shot your lawyer is, you're not always going to get off the hook. Maybe a new trend in this country. They said after the verdict was handed down, Garagos became a lot more humble of a lawyer instead of being so arrogant and confident.

It's nice to see how the jury hand out the death sentence, but it's California. When was the last time they executed someone?

Aren't death row inmates kept in a specific cell block and in isolation? He might not have that much interaction w/ other inmates to carry out the appropriate prison justice.

I as well as eveyone agrees with you on this, but I think it was even more selfishness on his part. Didn't he have a life insurance policy? I believe with her dead he wold recieve insurance plus he would never have to pay child support, alimony, etc. He gets everything his way if she is dead. It's sick I know but there are people who have done it before. After all he was just a poop salesman, can't make that much money and where he lived in the bay area is one of the more expensive areas to live in around here.
I am glad to see he was sentenced and found guilty. I am actually even surprised with the system and jurrors for a change, happily so.
