Decoding VIN on 69 Stang

A buddy of mine picked up a 69 Mustang and was told it was a Boss. Anyone know how to decode a older Ford VIN? The number is FMT805236JC65523. Any help would be much appreciated.

Sorry, not much help. Should get it quick on Google. "Mustang decoding" "Mustang VIN" something. All's I know is that "J" would be an "R" for a 428SCJ drag pack car.

You need to look at the trim tag to tell anything about the car, but that doesn't appear to be a valid VIN

I might be wrong but a quick glance I think it needs a Z Code for a 69 Boss...... Hope I am wrong!

Sounds about right about the VIN not being right. The guy is in Germany and his wife sent the number to him, probebly got it wrong, I will get a correct VIN and try again, thanks fellas

For 1969 Mustangs have 11 Digit Vins
