deep oil pan, when is it a good time to run one?

Having my engine rebuilt and was wondering at what point is it a good idea to run one? Dont want to get it if its not really a benefit. Pretty stout stroker motor being built but will see a good amount fo street time. Thanks

If you can afford one, now is the time.

An extra quart of oil in the system will provide more cooling, and give you insurance of not running dry a higher RPM.

Thanks for the info. Does it matter if its say the steel one from RJC or and aluminum pan? Thanks
