I've never went through inspection in DE and I'm buying a car next week...Just wanted to know what they looked for other then the brake test and lights.

they check the usual, horn, wipers, all lamps, window tint, they dont want any on the front doors windows. they have you drive aprox 5 mph over a big scale and slam on the brakes to see if they work properly. look under the car for a cat. pop your hood to clamp the gas vapor hose and pressurize the tank. then they run the sniffer test in the tailpipe, at idle then while you hold rpm to 2k. i just went thru this 2 months ago. i live in PA but still have my car registered in DE. it passed with a gutted cat, red armstrong 93 chip, other than that its stock. good luck
p.s. if you have it registered in lower DE, i forget how far south but you wouldnt need to get the emission test done.

No go on southern DE, I'm in dover...Well wait a min...How about Milford?? I live in Sussex County.

check with a local gas station mechanic, they would know for sure. do you think it wouldnt pass?

Na it would, but the less I have to do the better...sounds pretty easy though.
