Did a search but did not find anything, also no help in Tranny Section.

I just installed a lock up converter back in my car w/ a manuel locking switch.

The convereter locks and unlock with a flick of the switch as long as it is done without much delay between the lock and unlock. If I lock the converter and drive a few miles, the switch will not unlock the converter. After the switch is flipped to unlock it takes about 2-2.5 min. before it will unlock?????

This was tested repeatedly over a 60 mile trip. What gives???

As long as the switch is flipped back and forth without much delay(traveling less than 1/2 mile) it will unlock and relock fine?

what speed were you conducting this test? If the vehicle speed is such that the chip commands lock up (about 45), your manual switch won't do squat to unlock it...you must slow down or hit the brakes

FAST system....did test @ 50,55,60,70 ect doesn't matter.

Brake switch will not unlock either. It take a little over 2 min. no matter.

guess I would replace the solenoid..it may be sticking when it gets warm?

the solenoid is way easy to replace...so guess I would try that first...........

There's a guy called NCTTA in here with the same problem you describe. Maybe you two can get together and compare notes.

He gave me a pretty accurate description of your Sister's bedrooms....some maybe he can help.

Thanks AZGN...I have a solenoid on the way from Bruce.
