I have a problem with a delay in spray, its an AEM kit and worked great for about 6 months.
Now it seems the alcohol is leaking back into the tank and draining the line.
If I prime the pump it takes about 6 seconds for the wideband to show the alcohol.
Once its primed its good but give it 10 min Ive lost pressure again.

I need an opinion on weither my pump is packing it in or if a check valve would help.
I realize the check valve is intended to stop siphoning at the nozzle but could it help this.

It seems od that this setup would work fine initally and then start to lose the prime now.

I'd try an alky. resistant check valve for sure.

And of course use a pressure gauge to see if your pump is funtioning correctly.

Assuming you already know the proper good pump working pressure into your nozzle of choice so you can verify it.

If its worked for 6 months and now doesnt, adding a check valve doesnt fix your problem. Only puts a bandaid.

Sounds like the valve/diaphram in your pump is going out. Suggest you contact AEM tech about their system.

Thanks Razor

I figured as much how hard are these shurflos to rebuild?

You need the exact shurflo model number to get parts from Shurflo. They are all different. Your best option should be contact AEM for warranty/repair/replacement.

I dont want to get into the middle of this, hope you understand.

update

I relocated my pump its directly below the tank with 10" of fuel line connecting the pump to the tank gravity prime I thought I had it below the tank but I guess it wasn't.
So far so good 0 lag even with the progessive spray at mild boost I see it on my wide band.
