I went to a little car show/ cruise night the other day and there was what looked like a WE4 there. It had the black bumpers, black out trim and everything but it had a maroon bucket/floor shift interior. I talked to the guy who owned it and hes had it since 1988 and this is how it always looked. The car was repainted and the trunk sticker was no longer there. The guy swears up and down that it came from the factory with black bumpers. He also said it was a late build 87. So has anyone ever seen a WE4 with any color interior than grey? I know that I havent.

All had gray interiors.

Easy to repaint chrome bumpers black to match a T with black out trim which would be the WO2 option but would have come with chrome bumpers factory, assuming a T car with maroon interior.

Need to check the underhood plate for factory paint code, and perhaps interior code, I believe it would still be on that since there's no window sticker or trunk sticker.

Up until 11/13/86 during the 87 model year you could order black paint code 19 with the wo2 exterior sport package. (aka blackout trim) As of that date buick issued a memo to all the dealers and subsequently no more cars could be ordered with that combo. Irony is, it wasnt until the 15th that the WE4 was announced to the dealers. Sounds like his car was just a Turbo-T with maroon interior and the wo2 trim package. Umm... no I have a life, I just also have tons of dealer inromation and GM communications in the collection here lol
