I hooked up a fan switch today and after I got it hooked up my oil and water temp gauges aren't working anymore. Power for the guages is run from the IGN slots on the fuse box. The ground wires for them are run over to the screw that holds the lower dash piece up. Everything is hooked up the same as before. Both were working fine as of yesterday. I'm thinking I may have turned the key on when I had the dash piece lowered and the grounds weren't hooked up. Would this have fryed the gauges? The lights for the gauges aren't working either. Their power comes from the IGN plugs on the fuse box also. I changed bulbs and they still wouldn't work. If this fryed the gauges then what is fryed? Is it the gauges or the sending units? I'm a little stumped at the moment. Thanks.

something is most likely shorted, make SURE none of your power leads is going to ground....with a fan switch you could of made a mistake, i had the same problem had to trace all the wires and turned out the power wire was touching a washer...
