Coming home from work this morning, I was stopped at a light, no one around so I dropped it in first. I was making a left turn so I eased around till the car was straightened out then nailed it and shifted it to 2nd and...well nothing!!!! It revved high and was barely pulling. Got it home and put it in reverse not pulling there either unless you rev it up and barely pulls then does the same in forward gears also. I can hear and feel it go into gear but it will not pull unless you rev it high. Did the tranny go south? Thanks:(

Since you're getting it to pull just a little, I'll venture to say that you didn't break your forward clutch shaft. If you did, you'd have absolute neutral in every gear. Same goes for the converter turbine spline.

Sounds as if you may have damaged the front pump and that it's barely making any line pressure now. A pressure check would go a long way in diagnosing this.

Thanx, 85 Riv. I was gonna put the same link. PS you need to add your name to your signature or profile??? :D
