Did my convertor take a dump??

[77 cruiser]

Trans has probs. with TV sticking. Conv. tries to lock when putting into gear along with some rattling & screeching noise. Pulled the pan lots of what looks like brass specks.

yea it did

Pan has about 1/8 in. aluminum filings in it. Put the stator support in the conv. & it turns both ways.
