Here's what I did on mine… I "emptied" the front bumper be removing the reinforcement piece and cut off only two small sections from the reinforcement onto which the bumper brackets bolt to.

What was used for the amber turn signal covers? They look great.

Thanks for the comment!…They're not covers…they are clear lenses which I had dark tinted .

Cut the stock reinforcements down today..... Stock rear bumper weighs in at 60lb ! By cutting off the ends, you can cut out 30 lbs !

The front bumper weighs in at 55lb. And you can lighten that by 20 lb. by taking the mid section out.

You could probably use a saws all,cut off wheel,chop saw,cutting,torch,anything that will cut metal i would think.

Looks good. What did you use to cut them down?

Pretty much everything. LOL

Started out with my bandsaw (metal) but broke the blade - these are kinda tough to secure....
Then switched to my electric grinder with thin cut off wheel which worked good, but there were two spots on the front reinforcement i couldn't reach with the blade so then switched to an air grinder with thin cut off wheel and that finished them up. Used a flap disc to dress the edges, and i'll wash and paint them as soon as the weather drys up and sun comes out.

At the very least, it'll make the bumper reinstall a whole lot easier.

I was told that the steel one can be brought down to about 4 or 8 pounds each can't remember exactly.
