...and yes, I am a "real ME"!
Well I just play one as a machinist/fabricator and help design aircraft parts, one of you "real" guys proved my assumption incorrect, hope you did not take that wrong.

hello; A real ME is a good think to have and I'd like to see what one would think of trying to mount one of these bars using stock brackets? Many people say it works but I have my doughts. I got a bar with the proper bushings and new stock brackets and the bushing extends about 1/2" beyond the bracket.
I've went thru this talk a few times here so I'll stop now. I'll get to it when the weather gets better.

Didn't take it wrong at all, I actually thought it was humorous... I've heard of people impersonating doctors and lawyers, but never M.E.'s. Has anyone ever met a fake M.E.?

I have a 36mm on mine, I made a huge difference in body roll. The best way to determine if its a 36mm is to measure the diameter, or you can use a digital caliper to measure it. Even putting the open end of a 36mm wrench on the bar works (should be snug fit if its a 36). If your trying to find one in a salvage yard look specifically for the Pontiac F bodies, they are far more likely to have the big bars then a Camaro. Pay close attention to cars with 16 inch wheels or look at RPO codes on car if label is present. The RPO's your looking for are either 1LE or WS6, both of which would have 36mm bars.
