I have an issue with my digital fuel pressure gauge in the car: Sometimes it is accurate and sometimes it shows crazy low numbers. I know the fuel pressure is good via a manual gauge, just wondering if anyone has experienced similar issues. I'm about to go re check the obvious now. Would a bad sender cause this or does it sound like a bad connection somewhere? Thanks guys!

From what I've read the gauge is suppose to go up to 100 when the key is turned on, is that right? And then settle back down to actual FP? If thats the case my gauge may be done for.

No. It will go up and then drop but not anywhere near 100 psi.

You will not get the actual FP reading until the engine is running.

Also make sure your +5V reference to the sender is not fluctuating a bunch.

OK, thanks guys. Is it common for them just to go bad? Sometimes it reads what it's suppose to, but mostly way low.
