Today when I finally removed the PS head which popped a gasket on #6, I noticed that the O ring on the block at #6 where the gasket blew, was smushed down smooth with the block
The rest of the rings looked great, is this going to be a problem for me??? IMO, this will prolly be the location of any future headgasket failures on that side of the motor. With that in mind, this is prolly the "best" way the gasket can blow.... into the lifter valley and not into a water jacket!
