Dipstick and Tube

If I put 5 qts of oil in my GN it barely hits the dipstick. Not sure why but I figure starting out with changing the tube could do it. Not sure the dipstick is original either so might as well look for both.

Are you sure you don't have an aftermarket deep sump pan? Post a pic of the dip stick and tube and we should be able to tell you if it's the correct one.
