Single shot exhaust

What muffler should I use to replace my single shot exhaust? It's went bad. Thinking about NTR or Flowmaster outlaw?

Straight through mufflers make the most power on turbo cars.
Many have said the Borla XR1 Race muffler sounds and performs the most like the original ATR Power Slot Pitbull mufflers.
I have yet to see a 2.5” single shot exhaust, but here’s the easy buttons.

Here’s one in 2.5”.

A guy put (2) Vibrant 2.5” ultra quiet resonators on his GN. He liked the sound, but was too quiet in his opinion.
If you’re thinking more sleeper, this may be for you.

I have two gn1 performance 3in mufflers for sale in parts section.

I wasn't looking for a quiet muffler . I doin't mine some noise. I put a strait pipe in for now just to try it's to loud . Not sure how loud the Borla is. Flow master outlaw may be to loud. Thanks for the help so far.

The guys that have run the Borla say they sound about the same as the original ATR Pitbull (Power Slot design) mufflers.

What brand of single shot muffler are you replacing? Maybe you’re looking for something completely different.

I think I got it at full throttle years and years ago, It wasn't very loud I was kinda wanting something a little more aggressive . But the borla maybe a little louder. I had a little drone before .

I don’t know if Full Throttle sold ATR exhaust systems at one time, but they have sold the GN1 Performance exhaust systems for a long time.
ATR (Applied Technologies and Research) made mild steel mufflers as well as SS304.
I was assuming you had the ATR mild steel mufflers than rusted out and went bad.
GN1 performance listed mufflers separately in the past, but I’m not seeing them now. They are the later straight through perforated core version of the Pitbull mufflers.

I feel the Borla would be similar in volume, have a deeper tone with little or no drone compared to what you have.

Here is a great video of the original ATR Pitbull (Power Slot) dual exhaust. It looks like 2.5”, but it’s hard to tell.
I believe the 3” single shot is a little louder.

It would be nice if someone would do a muffler dyno shoot out with HP/ TQ numbers as well as sound levels at idle, cruising and wide open.
