Ignition is a compromise of voltage and amperage. You can trade one for the other.
While a big Blue Spark might look good, it might not work worth a Tinker's Damn, in a combustion chamber.
If you want to look at what works, look at what the oems are using. Coil Near Plug set ups. For GM to spend the millions they did to go to that system, it must be worth while. If you want something that good, then investigate the eDIST. But, serious ignitions cost serious money. There are no short cuts.
