I know the main oil galleries feed each main bearing but how are the holes drilled to the rods? Are the rod oil holes connected or does the excess oil leave the rods at the bearing sides and this is what is slung on the pistons and cam?

Does anyone have a good oiling diagram link they can post?

Oil flow

Mark,

The rod bearings are fed oil through passages drilled in the crank from the main bearing journals. The excess oil comes out at the sides of the rod as you stated and helps to lubricate the cam, cylinder walls etc. I don't have a link to post but maybe someone else can give one.
