directscan and new laaptop

i just got a dell cpi laptop and my readings on directscan are all wrong and i also have about 10 codes. i was using a old toshiba and i had it working fine. i thought i read somewhere about problems using laptops with interchangeable floppy drives and cant find it now. anybody ever have this problem? any help is appreciated. thanks

You might check: http://www.chuengineering.com/sb_main.htm and see if you need the Directscan adapter. I had to use it with a slim toshiba I got.
