Directscan connector

I lost my manual on the directscan and need to know which side does pin1 go.

If I am looking down at the ECM with the connectors at the top and the chip compartment facing me at the bottom, where is pin 1? Left side or right side?

I assume it's on the left, so I can run the ribbon up the back, correct?

Looking down at the ecm, with the "chip door" up, pin 1 goes to the right (Between the wide segment of board and the thinner segment.

the red stripe goes toward the gap in the bottom of the circuit board. if you hook it up backwards it is bad, bad. i fried the direct scan, my ignition module and ecm when my buddy hooked it up backwards
