Well this is a little embarassing but oh well.

I've had my T-type about 3 days when I wrecked it into the garage trying to park it  It's complacated but there doing some work in the ally and it's kind of a tight fit parking in the garage. Anyways, the front right hand bumper was burried into the sheet rock a little. The bumper doesn't seem to be bent but it's counter sunk a little. Is there away to straighten out the bumper support or do I simply replace it? Also, I can't seem to see any other support tight brace etc...just the support the bumper bolts to. Is there something missing?

This wasn't a totaly loss I guess, the bumper filler was already cracked and I haven't had time to install the new one ;)

This can be fixed with a Porta-Power hydraulic tool, which any body shop should have. The bumper support is collasped and you want to extend it back out to it's original position. I did it on mine. I suppose you could hook a chain around that side of the bumper and tie it to a tree and pull it back out, also. It only needs to come out a little bit, you could do more damage if not careful. I recommend a professional to do it. Cheers.

Yes sir,

I have to get them to piant/install some bumper fillers anyways. Just needed to know if there was anything else I needed to buy in oder for them to fix it.

Thanks a lot.
Ray

PS, what part of Texas are you in?

Texas

I'm around San Antonio. I damn near bought that car you own. Ended up getting a white 86 roller to put my engine/trans into. You got a pretty good deal, even with the problems it has, stuff that can all be fixed. Good luck.

I love my car...I've owned G bodys for ever. My first car was a 79 Malibu 2dr and my second car was an 84 Monte Carlo SS. I've always wanted a T-type/GN but couldn't aford one until now. This car is staying with me dispite it's issues...well now that the wife said I can keep it  I've already ordered a bunch of look good parts. Now I'm about to order a Vaccum brake kit for it. Than I'll look into the gear box. I'm just thinking about the bumper/bumper fillers to make it look nice...for my wife's sake and our fellow HOA members ;) Everyone in my hood buys Vipers or Vettes for their toys...they probaly think I'm phyco lol Anyways, I'm sure once I get this car street ready, I'll start making some Buick GTG, I love hitting the road for gtg's!

PS, I'm down here in Midland.
