IMO if you do not want strange popping noises or road vibration I would put them back. I just replaced my front end and bought new from GM. $6 each. Difficult to find at the normal parts stores.

Check them and make sure they do not have a rip in them before you leave. Mine did and I had to wait another day or two arghhhh.
