How far do I push it? So far I'm up to like 19-20 pounds, should I stop? There's still no knock at all.
So far I have:
TE45A, dual exhaust, 3" down pipe, headers, TT chip, scanmaster, 50 lb injectors and supporting gauges. I have a new alky kit, but it's not installed yet. I'm not exactly sure how far to crank it up before I put the booze to it. I'm starting to get a little nervous.

Thoughts?

Ugh.....are you running pump gas???????? If so you are there. O and don't sneeze.
The alky kit works better actually on the car.....:)

Yes, 93 pump gas, I know stuff works better on the car, but I've been working really hard with all the other parts. I worked on it about 20 hours last weekend, just didn't get to the alky. From complete exhaust, turbo, injectors and gauges. Maybe this weekend I'll get to it.

If you keep running pump gas and that much boost then you are getting close to doing a lot of work of that car.

Sounds like your tune is dead on ..........but unless you are mad at your car I would stop there.
Good job by the way....

Thanks, yea, I think I'll drop it down until I get the alky on. Once I get the juice on how high should I take it? 23 -24?

Read the quote in my Sig from Dr. Boost.....:)

Boost is just a number....how fast do you want to go and what does the car like. Razor has a great write up on tuning with alky. And if you are looking at the edge get a wideband. Looks like you have the rest pretty well covered.

I have a wideband too, forgot to list it. It's also sitting in a box, need to get a bung welded in my downpipe. Dr. Boost seems like a pretty smart guy, stupidity will be my limiting factor . . .

We all turn em up....well most of us. So just by what you have acquired I see you have done a little research and even more important are believing in what the wise one are saying. So leave it alone maybe turn it down a notch get your goodies installed and start your tuning all over.

Good luck

Your getting there Matt! Do what your thinking and turn it down a couple #'s until you get the alky kit on. I ran that combo to 27#'s on 93 & alky with no issues at all. You car is gonna fly! Which chip did you use?

Jason, I used that 50lber and plan to send the wideband chip back to Eric for a re-burn. I'm still kicking around what cam and injectors to go with though. This car already feels 10x's faster than stock, yes a a bit of exaggeration but it's moving. I see what the guys were saying about the spool up time with headers, it's a little slow. If the car gets down the 1320 somewhere in the 10's it OK with me. I know I'll need the cam and heads to get there but I'm ok with that. The car sounds so good right now. My wife commented yesterday about how much better the ride is compared to her Mercedes, I said, well yea it's a Buick. :)

Oh, and Jason, thanks again for the package deal, I appreciate your honest description of the parts. Anyone reading this don't hesitate to deal with Hungerbuhler1 if the opportunity ever presents itself, real stand up guy. He sold me just about all of the parts in my description and they we're in great shape. Thanks !

I'm running 93 oct only right now and with the stock waste gate the boost wouldn't drop below 22psi on the dyno but only had .5 degree of knock. Now I have and external gate and manual boost control and turned it down to around 19-20 just to be safe. The tune is dead on at that level, no knock. I'd say stop while your ahead until you install the alky or run a few gallons of race fuel as a safe guard.

I'm going to install it next weekend if the car's back from the trans shop. Took my brother for a ride today, he said it felt like the front wheels were coming off the ground, lol. It's running pretty good.

I was kind of playing around with that yesterday, but can't give a good answer. It seemed like only a pound, could that be right? Went to get the drag radials put on and the line was huge, so I left.

All cars are different. Mine is around 5lbs. Some people are way higher. Try pumping brakes in neutral and hold down then put car in drive and start building boost.

I'll give it a shot, thanks. What roller rockers are you running and hw did you decide on the ratio?
