do reuilt trannies need to break in?

just wondering, the shop says the wide bands need to break in, it shifts very softly 1-2?

Nope. Maybe a mile or so, but nope.

"Semi-quote" from from the guy above when I asked him. "Once you got all the air out of system and it's warmed up, just frick'en hammer it, the best shifts you'll ever have are the first 30 or so."

If you have a soft shift now, it will never get better and maybe only worse.
