I have the sperco now but i have seen the TM kit a long time ago its a alsome set up, it looks much better then the sperco kit. I wish i new there was the TM kit before i bought the sperco.

Does any one have any pic of the TM kit, is this the kit were the intake is set up like the 86-87 kinda. I have to get a intake any way so if i sell my sperco and save some money it will be mine he he .

Does any one know if i will get a bigger gain off the TM kit , a bigger gain then the sperco. I have a ta33 turbo and just ran 12.80 @108.5 this was untuned.

Thanks guys, wish i could make the group thing m, maybe i can sell my house:D

You'll get bigger gains with the TM kit.. afterall its an intercooler AND an intake...

Do a search for a thread called "TM kit installed" by TurboD, he posted alot of pics awhile back.

Thanks guys i found it it looks like a real good setup. I dont know if i want to go that route or get a TMintake and maybe a bigger intercooler, and sell my ta33 and go with a 50's turbo.

Ifind out in the winter.

If you have a loose enough converter, I can personally tell you that the TA-54 is GREAT with the TM IC Intake :D

Running a street chip, 17# of boost, leaving just off idle I ran 111mph in the 1/4 at sea level and 108 at 15# of boost at Vegas (density altitude of 3K+ feet)

I do have a 214/208 cam in the car so that may be bigger than what you have, but this car is a monster. Throttle response and spoolup are GREAT.

My current combo should be good for 120-121mph in the 1/4 at sea level at 23# of boost (race chip, 114 octane gas) With traction thats a REAL low 11, high 10.

I'm going to be changing my setup a bit. Ball Bearing Q-Trim 70 turbo, ford FM IC, the ported heads on, the DFI on and TUNE!

I'm going to try for 128-130mph :)

Yes, before you ask, I am insane :O

Dude thats alsome and crazy ,i fell the same way the faster the better. Iwish i had the money i'd take that turbo off your hands for yea. I have a comp cams 206/206 cam. How does that turbo fit in the stock area. Could i just put it on and bolt the up and down pipe to it and the sperco kit. This winter is going to be crazy , cant wait tell the track opens again next year.

Let me know when you are ready to let go of the 54, I am looking for one for my 84 with TM kit. I wont be ready till Jan., though because of Christmas. By the way, how loose is your converter?

The trubo is stock appearing and fits perfect. It's is already up for sale...

The converter I have is a 3500 Stall 9" Art Carr unit. I would reccomend a 3200 :P (its' almost too responisve with this converter)

i'd think there would be no problem hooking the Spearco kit up with it. I'd reccomend the V2 Intake instead, since that includes an IC and the intake.

Chris-
Man your car is haulin baby! With some 1.55's your are lookin at low 11's I would think. All of this with no heads. Amazing!!! When you do the upgrades your are talking about look out...wheels up:) Take care and keep on racing.

Turbo Motion Setup

Your Spearco setup can be converted to the V2 setup. IMO the Spearco intercooler is a definite step up from the modified 87 intercooler; front mount, better inlet and outlet, and aluminum construction for better heat transfer.

Having the Spearco setup isn't a bad move IMO. Jay can set you up with parts required and probably give you a sweet deal in the process too. :)
