Does anyone remember "GMPOWER"?

Hey guys, Ive looked at a car which i believe belonged to GMPOWER. Its a 1987 Grand National and just arrived in Hawaii 2 months ago from california. The mother said shes selling the car for her son. The mother could not give me any details whatsoever on the car. After a little research I have tragically found that the car did belong to GMPOWER. I know this is a touchy subject as Im sure some of you may have known him personally. I was just hoping to get a history on the car. Any information on the car would be greatly appreciated. To be sensitive of his family and friends I would appreciate if you could PM me rather than post after this thread. Thank you.
