hey i shoot trap and skeet i have a ruger red label over and under and i just shoot 71/2 shot wal mart brand most of the time im a 22,23 out of 25 shot

Been shooting trap for a while now....

For trap, I have 2 Browning BT-99's. One is a 32" Modified choke gun with a 3/8 Broadway rib. I use it from the 16 yard line back to the 25 with a moderate charge of Hercules Green Dot powder and #7½ shot.

For anything beyond the 25, the other gun is a 34" full choke with a 1/4" Broadway rib. In it, I like #6 shot and a heavier charge of Red Dot.

On the rare occasions I try my hand at skeet, I have a Browning Citori O/U, 30", full and modified chokes.

I mostly shoot service rifle competition, but I do some casual trap shooting. For trap I shoot a "K-Mart blue light special" Remington 1100 12 gauge 30" full choke that I bought for $250 back in the day. The Remington works well and is just about the best deal going as far as I'm concerned.

I play at trap but like sporting clays better I have a couple of shotguns that i use one being a baretta 390 with 30 inch barrel and has had a complete rework of the barrel and trigger by seminole gunworks in fla. and the other is a european made browning 325 overanunder with 32 inch barrels that have been modified by clearview, the type of shells that I use for the long shots are 7 1/2,1oz1/8 winchester AA super handicap and the closer is 8,8 1/2,or9 shot in 1 oz also use the white rino and spreader by fieochie (sp) and white gold by olympic. and I also reload but in competition it is againist the rules to use a reloaded shell.the loaders that I use are made by MEC and I have worked up a few loads that are close to the factory shell that I use in competition, if there is anything else that I can help you with let me know. I have shot Trap and Skeet over the years, mostly Skeet. My stepdad still shoots in Skeet competitions at 72 years old. We used to shoot a 100 shot round every Saturday afternoon when he was teaching me to shoot. He still shoots 90+ out of 100, where I do good to get 80.
I use Remington 1100 Light shotguns (12, 16, 20, 28, 410) that were made for sport shooting. I load my own using basically the same loads as Carman83ss454. Sure makes dove season more enjoyable.

I use a Beratta 391 Tenky Gold.Just got it 2 months ago.I also shot a Browning Auto 5.I just started to use White Gold Extreme thy are almost 1400 fps.Around here you can buy shells cheaper than you can load them yourself.$30.00 a case for Rios and Remington UNCS
