Ok so I think I found my problem. I replaced my dome light bezel when I redid my interior.
The pins for the dome light look like they are surrounded by plastic insulation as they slide into the housing. It looks like my wires have been touching the housing. Which due to the plating look to be conductive. Can anybody confirm this? I always thought the dome light housing was plastic and would not hold a charge??
