Dam Ty, you could have had a '79 TA for around the same $$
Nice car though, and at least the top comes off

Dan, maybe you should buy another 427 Cobra. They're cheap now days.;)

it's not out of the question .. I still hallucinate every now and then. problem is is that I want something to drive and have fun with. ummmm don't go with the leak oil thing .. thats undercoating in a Buick :p Mustang I would just put down in the high 10s and leave it alone  sounds good right ;)

BOO

There is 4 things wrong with that car.
1. F
2. O
3. R
4. D

As my wife would say Mustangs are a girls car.
Congrats on the purchase, hey as long as the wife is happy then its good.

Ty,

I still have a passion for that car.

When I was 17 I wraped my 79 6.6 4 speed around a loaded concrete truck head on at about 80 mph........
Not a good thing. It was black/black with the orange and red bird.

Sweet Car...I find it funny that so many hate on Mustangs...I bet you'll like driving it when your wife lets you have the keys...Enjoy, Nice Car...

A friend of mine had a '79 Gold Edition that did a similar thing, split the car in half, but he made it out without being seriously injured. Those cars are built like tanks compared to the light weight stuff used the past 15 or so years. Glad you made it out ok as well.

It runs pretty good for a stock 300 HP stang:cool: Once broke in it will develop a "whine" under the hood and a computer flash with a few other goodies......

Off to call Grumpy LOL:D

Nothing that 17 weeks in the hospital can't fix.....
Or at least patch up until your 40 then it all comes back apart again. The car was not so lucky. I use to have picks of the bell housing up in the windshield where the car was basically broke in half.

How come the one young man looks like he is not happy standing next to the new stang....

Sorry about getting side tracked on your thread........
