The factory molding strip came off my door yesterday. The sticky tape is still on the door, but not sticky enough to hold the molding back on. Another issue is the black plastic strip is pretty wavy, don't think I can straighten it out to be straight across the door again. Any advice from the experts?

Use a heat gun (Harbor Freight) and wave back and forth above tape on car. Pull it off or roll it off. Use 3mm adhesive remover for the rest of removal. (NAPA) Then to to WalMart and buy yourself a roll of adhesive tape, 3mm, with the red tape on it. (It's about 5/8" wide.) About $4. Clean the back of your moulding strip with adhesive remover, then put the tape on it, red side out, trim the tape to the proper width of the moulding.(X-Acto knife and metal straight edge) Use a string from front fender to rear fender to line up the moulding.(Just above where you want the moulding to be) Place moulding on car, peel back a small part of the red tape so the sticky stuff is exposed, and push on to the car, keeping the moulding straight with the string while pulling the red tape off. This is how I did it on my '87 GN. Worked great.
