Door panel removal question

Is it possible to just remove the upper part of the door panel without removing the lower half? Also, is there a specific tool to twist/remove the push-in retainers? Or do most just pry them out with a screw driver and replace the ones that break or are ruined? Thanks

Yes and Yes.. Pep Boys (or your local automotive store) sells the tool for that. It is easy if you pull the entire panel off but the top can come off. Takes a little work to put it back on.

Thanks!! I am replacing the door panel inserts on my Limited, and don't need to remove the lower half.

Eh, no reason not to remove the lower door panel. The only thing that holds it in are a handful of blow out clips. They're actually designed pretty well so they don't break, instead they just come out of the anchor and you can twist them back in later.
