Anybody addressed this before? Hinge bushings and pins time?
Where to get parts and what tools required?
thanks,
Mitch

yep - pins and bushings.
you can get them most any where.
It's not a hard job but a PITA.
you won't need any special tools except a little spring compressor for the door spring (depending on what tools you have I guess...)

Could you be a little more specific on the tool for the spring. Where to get it or rent it? Does the door have to come off the car comletely during the fix?
Mitch

For what its worth, i spent the last 3 months trying to get my sagging problem to go away, new pins, bushings, adjustments, etc.......but nothing seemed to make it quite right. Then i went to the u pull it on eday, took two hinges off a late 80's 4-DOOR Caprioce or olds 88 or somethin, put them on my car sunday, and now my doors are as good as new. cost my only 5 bucks for both hinges too!!! so i recommend doing this, but make sure you get the right hinge(roller on top hinge, etc...) and make sure its from a 4-door car becausae any two door car hinge will have the same problem as urs have now. need anything , just email me

I agree that's the way to go. You can get hinges from any 4 door G-body. Most of those are good with no play because the doors on a 4 door are much lighter than our doors. I wasn't aware about the hinges mentioned above, but proofs in the pudding. ;)

If the sagging is not too bad many times you can just adjust the hinges. Done that on a few cars and it cured it 100%. Cheap too!:)

You have to loosen all the bolts holding the hinges. If you can lift the door up and down while the bolts are tight, your hinges are shot but you may still be able to adjust position door hits stopper. I'd opt to replace the hinges if they're shot.
