Down pipe dump tube

Anybody install an exhaust cut out on their downpipe after it's on the car? I have an old tubo tune 3 inch DP on my car and Deltagate with a Random CAT and an ATR dual set up with quiet mufflers. I'd like to be able to uncap at the track and maybe gain a few tenths. What are the prospects of getting a muffler shop to tack on an exhaust dump just before the cat with everything in place?

What size tires can i put on my 87 Turbo T? I want like the widest possible *for traction* in the rear* i dont care about the front..just buying 2 for traction in the rear... 255/60/15 will those fit? Or do i have to go 245/60/15 ? Thanks

If the muffler shop is performance oriented, the prospects are pretty good they could splice in a dump before the cat.

Sleeper, 255/60's will fit fine, with no rubbing. I've put 275/50 and 275/60's on stock T wheels also, and love them (especially the 275/60's). These are more likely to rub the frame in hard cornering than not, however.
