What are my down pipe options with the heat & AC removed from my car?? It looks like I have alot more room now and can run a straighter pipe. Will the 86-87 pipes bolt to my turbo? I guess I could clock the turbo for alignment.
Any input appreciated.

Thanks

see

right now i dont have a/c in my hotair car and im running a 3ich mease POS downpipe. i wish someone would step up and get a nice 4 inch to 3 inch down pipe made for people not running a/c i think it would really make the car look nice over there. something kinda like the RJC Downpipes. i would do it but im way to busy till sometime next year. one of these days i might get around to makeing on for my car.

I'd be happy with just a 3 inch DP!

I recently removed the A/C heater from my car and the downpipe clearance is awesome; a 3 inch downpipe made for this clearance would make a good amount of power.

I know ESP Products was considering putting 3" DPs back into production but they would need commited buyers (about 25 i think). I dont know how many he has on the list as of yet, but he might be willing to make one for no A/C Heater...??

hey

if somone made some for us no a/c guys i would sale my mease 3in.

Why would you remove your AC living in Tucson? On a side note, I just moved to Tempe and work in Tucson right now. Trying to find a house with a garage before I move the GN down. Are there many GNs in the area?

a/c

i removed the a/c one night because i was fed up with trying to get to the #6 plug. i dont mind the heat and i drive the car mostly at night. there arent that many buicks down here in tucson anymore. i mean there is but noone drives them. there are several up in phoenix.

Lots of Gns around phx, oh, yeah , no AC, or heater in mine either, had a custom 3" made by a guy out here "Mc Cabe headers" cost a little over 300 bills.

Not a chance! When we came out with our ESP Twin Turbo kit for the stock '86-7 engine, the initial poll said "no-A/C" was no big deal to get up to 800 hp on the street. Once we had the kit tested and to the Dyno & track, people started asking for the A/C. Granted, everyone at the track loves the look and performance of the kit; it's the internet people who ask about the A/C. The '84-85 downpipe will be a limited production product to start with - why narrow it any further.

Hope this helps you.

PS. Only about 5 people have responded to the '84-5 downpipe request. And that response died after the first two days, nothing since.

Well I want mine and if it does go into production I'm willing to put a deposit down on one as long as you don't pull a Mease and take 2 yrs to get it to me.
