drive shaft install need help

I trying to install my drive shaft but it doesnt seem to wanna fit. Its definately the right shaft but how do you get it to slide into the back of the tranny? any suggestions would be appriciated

is this a used shaft ?
its common to find the splines in the yoke are twisted preventing the shaft from pushing fully into the trans to clear the rear axle yoke ears , you could raise the rear to get more room but the fact remains the splines are tweaked
replace the trans yoke , if your plans are 10s or tbrake launches upgrade to the billet yoke

check to see if the splines are twisted otherwise give it the ol "spit and stab"

ok thanks. it appears to be in good shape i also have a spare one i just thought it would slide right on but NO, I just didnt want to hit it and damage it.
