drive shaft swap

hello,
ive bought an 84 gn w/87 drive train,the driveshaft feels out of balance and i have an 83 ponti grand prix(305 v8 non posi)i wonder if the driveshafts are the same/lenghts??? i live in the middle of nowhere so having this one checked/rebalanced would require alot of travel.thanks in advance, Gary

nope,tried it this afternoon and grand prix driveshaft was 1 1/2" longer and smaller in diameter,inspected driveshaft and found no damage,what could be causing all the drive line vibration?had tires checked,trans/motor mounts?ill get under car again tommorow and look closer....
