driveshaft for a turbo 400

i need to get a drive shaft as i replaced my 200 with a 400 and need to know what length to get..

Hey, just an fyi... there is only a half inch difference in length between the 200 and the 400... i just did the OPPOSITE of what you are trying to do.

I just had a driveshaft specialist swap out the yolk on the end of the shaft...

seems to be working great...!

so what is the exact length of driveshaft needed if i put a 400 in the car...

measurement given to my drive shaft builder was 53 7/16" from face of rear yoke to rear end of trans tail housing/seal (short tail shaft). and 5/8" from end of output shaft to end of trans housing/seal for my TH400 swap . 53 7/16" should put you in the ball park , but I would measure it out to be sure . may vary 1/8"-3/16" car to car IMO .

Print off the diagram , take your measurements and hand the paper in to the guy building you DS . that's what I did .
