Drove Mitsubishi EVO today....

I'm the parts manger at a local Mitsu dealer and our EVO finally showed up today.I had to see what it would do!!!!To be honest it really surprised me,as to be expected a little turbo lag in 1st but man it takes off when the boost comes in!!!!It pulls hard all the way thru the gear box.
It's rated at 275 hp and it's awful close to that.A really nice car ,Recaro seats,and of course BLACK ,the innercooler looks really mean sitting out front like it does.But....$33,000
Even though it would be a nice sleeper it is still a RICER!!!

I drove one last year when a dealership near me got one. The bastards had the thing marked up $5000 over MSRP, so I wasn't going to buy, but I figured I could check it out.

The thing is definitely too boy racer for me. The wing definitely needs toning down and it only really looks good to me in black or maybe silver.

Damn though, that thing has some balls and the steering is like a go-kart, so responsive and tight. The car sticks to the road like glue, but on New England potholes the ride was brutally punishing. I can't see driving something like that daily. The ride was just too harsh and uncompromising.

I'd love to have one to tool around in and I hear they easily make 300+ HP. If I wanted a fast beater though I'd probably get the SRT-4 instead though since it's a lot cheaper and blends in a bit more.
