Simple question....Does the Ramchargers dual fans set up fit the same way like the 86-87 TR's? I think I will also need to secure the top of the fans.

the stock 84/85 radiator is significantly smaller than the 87...i'm not sure if the rc fans will fit.i have the dual spal fans and i'd say they wouldn't have fit on a stock size radiator.

i recommend swapping in a new modine v8 radiator, they are cheap(~$100 at autozone) and big.you will need a larger radiator holddown from a v8 car.

Or...... get the Fbody Aluminum Rad part #433918 for $118 at AutoZone. Ive had both. The V8 rad has same space between end tanks as the stock '87, so the RC fans will press in between just fine. The Aluminum rad has a slightly smaller space between the tanks. All you have to do is take a bit of material off each side of the fans so you can make fit. Very easy and quick fix.
The cooling benefits of each are an improvement over stock, however the Fbody rad is far superior. My temps stay in the low 160s, even on warm days. After gunning it a few times temps may raise to 170~, but then quickly fall down.
Im sure you can adapt the RC fans to the stock rad, but they would be sitting on top of the tanks and you would have a gap between the fan and rad core (thats if no hoses or lines are in the way, not sure on that). You could use some foam or something to seal this up. Ive seen that done before on other apps.
Just some ideas.
