I've read that Ramchargers has an awesome unit for our cars. When I visited the site there was about 4 different units. Which is the proper one for our cars.

Thanks

 YOU'VE GOTTA BE KIDDIN' ME. IT'S THE LEAST EXPENSIVE ONE??

If I would have known that a year ago I never would have bothered switching to a stock 87 on my 85!!!

THANKS!!!

Get the adaptor plug. makes it a simple plug and pray deal

Jim,

Are you talking about the wiring harness?

I dont think so. The wiring harness I thought makes it a stand alone system. The plug I'm talking about allows the fan setup to plug directly into the TR's old fan plug. Its more of a pigtail, only about 2" long.

I think the pics are still on my site

Hows 169* to 158* in under 2 mins with a front mount

how is the installation into a turbo buick? bolt in or are there other mods to be made?
i dont believe ther stock fan cools enough in the high heat, especially with the ac on, one fan only really cools the center of the radiator
thanks

So no problems if I decide to do away with the low speed like I did with the stock fan???

NoNos38, could you explain how to hot wire the fan I need it in mine

PS The TLink I bought from you works great, I have the car runing better than ever Thanks

exactly how wide is the ram charger dual fan set up without the ears on the side? they say its a tad over 26 inches wide and i'm wondering if that includes the mounting ears or not. i know this is a very old thread but i am getting ready to do a lot of work with the a/c and cooling systems as well as a couple of performance upgrades and i want the best cooling possible (i'm also switching over to r-134a and i know i'm going to need the extra cooling capability/capacity of a dual fan set up with a new aluminum radiator.), i also want something relatively cheap and this seems to be the cheapest around. noone can touch a dual fan set up for 80 bucks. and here i was all set on a black magic fan (in its defense it does flow alot but costs 200 bucks!), glad i found this thread!

sounds like a good deal then. a couple more questions remain.

1. do i want the ones with the wiring and pay the extra 50 bucks or buy the fans alone and get my own wiring kit? (my car is a n/a buick V6 so i dont have a wiring harness for an electric fan so either way i'm gonna have to get relays, wire, manual switch, thermostatic switch, etc.)

2. do the fans come with instructions? (either 674001 or 674003)
i can wire them up on my own but because of the varying speeds i would think that the fans would come with instructions so they are wired up correctly. i want them on high (no low speed teasing for me) so if you still have the information on modifying the wiring please send it to my email address. Those of you who have winter climates, should keep the stock computer control speed function with a switch. And in summer turn the switch the other way so its high all the time when computer requests low speed.

Otherwize enjoy the freezing weather

if i get the set up with their wiring harness, what exactly comes with it? it looks like it comes with two relays, manual switch and everything else you need except for a thermostatic switch.

i work at ramchargers.

two things;

a: the 003 is out of stock for a while.

b: just get the 674001 and the 674002 and be done with it.

plugs right in

brian

well i cant use 674002. i dont own a GN, i own a 85 GP with a 3.8. so that plug does me little good.
