What benefits do these setups have over the stock fan unit ? and what do you need to do to make them work?

well, they woudl move more air obviously to keep the car cooler. i the ramchargers setup is nice though, comes plug and play ready to go. with some minor installation mods......nice setup.

Al,I say this in the nicest way,DO A SEARCH before you ask questions.

Im sure most GN guy's are leary of buying from someone who knows nothing about their/his own car.

BTW,Interpid fans are the one's that Ramcharger's are selling.

I just swaped out the connector and made two metal straps and bolted them to stock location. I can get a pic if you want?

But I might add that I Do know a fair bit about these cars because I have owned mine since May of 89 and have taken it apart (literaly) and put it back together in the process of restoring it for some years now and getting to the very last leg of it. I thought that this board was for asking questions and getting opinions about different items that some of us might not be aware of as of yet? (Not to mention time searching when I can just ask) I sell Mini starters at a VERY good price!! so that I can offer some guys a better (cheaper) means (and I am looking into a few other simple items, Alternators, etc.) How many companies have you delt with over the years that sold an item that you wanted to buy and the salesperson knew nothing about it other than what you could read about it? I do apologize for knowing about Jegs and Summit but not Ramchargers. I do want to thank everyone that is willing to help me and everyone else that might not know something!

What really got me is when you asked "whats a fast system do?"

There a section all about ecm's and it even has FAST in the title.

Im more than willing to help out with ??'s along with everyone else im sure,ask the same ??? 1 billion times and people will stop anwsering it.Look at threads w/o any replies,you can do a search and pop back pages of threads...

Sorry for the rant...I know there are at least 100 threads containing info on the ramcharger's daul fans though...

Well I sincerely apologize then! The only problem is that my time has been VERY limited lately!!! so my search time has been limited in the process. I have not driven this car in some years because of it being offline and some of these products are new to the game for me. I just like to take in Every bit of info that I can get and here everyones opinion on something, especially someone that knows more than I before I make a decision on a possble purchase. I Do very much appreciate your help and wisdom Broke1!!!

Basically what everyone is saying is that they have found that the intrepid fan setup works well for our application as well. ramcharger version being a vendor supplied unit that comes plug and play is all.

Hey guys, thank you very much for the help! It certainly sounds like something that i'll want to add to it. The main that I was asking is because I have looked at some high speed fan setups and haven't seen these. I appreciate your patience with someone getting back in the game. I'm shooting for mid 11's without gettin too outrageous, lol.
